The xbox beta is out!! I've put almost 2 hours into it already. It's got a bit of a learning curve, but after my first hour I'm getting score chains out the butt. I've watched some youtube videos to get used to how everything works, but not too hard to pick up. I'm going to bed, so maybe i'll post more in depth first impressions later, maybe.
But it's more fair than MW2, in my opinion. Deaths are because you got out gunned, or didn't watch your back good enough. Definitely use some tactics. Use outsides of map, watch corners, keep eye out for where your squad is to anticipate the spawn.

I've only played team assault (the DM verison) but after my test friday will try some of the other mode.. Like rush and conquest combined I think. Actually, like onslaught mode lol.

Overall, I think it will turn out to be pretty fun, BUT don't know if it's $60 worthy.
Played a few matches with Ke5er, we see it very differently so I hope he posts his opinions as well. (It's BC2 and MW2 for sure, but leaning towards MW2 side, just not as cool BUT more balanced) MAke sense? lol

So who's got the beta key and going to play with me?

Let me start off by saying I was really excited about this game and I wanted to like it..sigh... but it seems not to be.

My first impression is that it is an inferior version of MW2. There are no squad aspects to the game. None of the BC2 elements that encourage team work. I have played both game types available and neither impresses me so far.

I only have an hour or so of playtime in so I am not going to say much more at this point. I will post more after I get a chance to play it for a few more hours.

I'm on it....Got my Token and will be downloading after work. I have been anticipating this game for some time, however I have not heard much positive input on it. I'm dying to see for myself. I'll be watching the clock all day til' I get off work!!

Don't go into it thinking Bad company. I wish I could find the interview with dice, but anyway, they said that they've done full destructable before, not trying for that. They've done the squads and drop ammo, they're not trying that.
This they didn't say, but they're trying to show they can make a game as good as CoD, but CoD has been at it for almost 7 GAMES! So it takes time to perfect things, glad they're running a beta and we can only hope things like the death animation (you'll see, feels so unnatural like your screen freezes) with be fixed. Go into it thinking just another shooter, with not many new things, but balanced in my opinion. It is nothing amazing, but I am enjoying a shooter, where it's not necessary to have a full squad to do good. One game I went like 29 and 4, and all my other teammates were even or negative in K/D, but we won. So I liked that from CoD, that you can just pick up and play. But they do promote teamplay slightly in one way. Killstreaks are no more, but it's point streaks. And you get points for assists, saviors, revenge, avenge, etc. Headshots and melee are also worth extra points, but the melee is tough, small hit box.
So when you go into it, expect MW2, and if you're as sick of MW2 as I am, you'll welcome the change. (But still maybe not $60 worthy, only more playing time will tell)

Got a chance to play it this evening and it was enjoyable yet very different from BFBC2. It seemed faster paced in the sense that you die very quickly once shot at. I do not like the fact that there seems to be absolutely no team work involved other than your kill streaks giving other players a UAV or Airstrike. Would take some getting used to but could become an addictive game until' the repetitiveness of playing the SAME map over and over and over again gets tiresome.

Went to EB Games (Gamestop for most of you) and put five bucks down on it, which got me my key.

Downloaded it tonight, put in half a round.

Really hard to see enemies... was in some "ruins" map, forget the mode.. like team deathmatch or something...??

Anyway, I got absolutely pwned.

you die quick, but means if you position correctly, you kill quickly. (it's really whoever gets first shot, wins, and theres not chance of getting hit and hiding to survive, unless it's sniper. Takes a few hits for sniper kill, unless headshots.)
But I think these things well be fine tuned once game comes out. I'm letting some friends play my beta, so my ratio will be dropping, but right now I think I'm like a 3.0 K/D. Strangely I'm doing very well in this game.
(I've been watching lots of youtube lately, think I've got my tactical gaming hat on)
Even with my 3-4 hours, I just don't think it's going to be able to overshadow some of the other games coming out. Curious what fixes they will implement on actual game.

From the game play I've seen it's a step back compared to MW2 and BC2. I personally think it looks awful I've never played it as I said , but the game play looks very disappointing.
