Turns out there's a slide bar in-game in the settings area called "gamma" and it lightens the game, which is so much better (now I can see really well on the darker maps).

I know what changing the gama is but don't know how to do it. I want to lighten the graphics so that I can see better on the darker maps (and they have several now). HOW do I do this? Anyone know?
